Questions & Answers for Men's Hurricane 14

Question

Does Sauc fit provide same support as Stability Arch-Lock?

I found the Arch-Lock provided me with the ideal support. Should I now be using a different shoe or does the Sauc fit provide the same amount of stablity?

Question

What is the width of my current Hurricane?

Hi there,
I currently run with Hurricane 14 which I really love. I'm thinking about buying a new pair but am not sure of the width of my current pair... Was it D or 2E? How can I check given that I no longer have the box?

yeah the same for stability sir but have difference with the technology Sir. Lets make differentiate the two shoes sir.. Lets start with the Cushioning Sir.. The Hurricane 14 have the Power grid technology made from Power foam and more superior than the Pro grid of the Omni 11.. Then the Sauc fit technology of the Hurricane 14 Unique and costumise fitting that adapts to the runners footshape not very tight and also not loose.. The omni 11 have the pro lock technology Lightweight stretch materials in the arch area that extend to one or two eyelets and adapt to your foot to provide a snug and supportive midfoot fit

Question

Saucony running shoes and arch support

Hi there,

I am 215 pounds and have a flat arch.

I went to a specialist that built me an arch support which i inserted to each Saucony shoe I purchased in the past.

My question is, due to the fact that I already have an external arch support, should I buy the Triumph 10 or maybe because i am a a heavy guy, should I stick with the Hurricane, my regular saucony shoe.

Thanks

Take it from a fellow bigfoot: there isn't enough demand to warrant many options in a wide. I am a 13 Wide, but almost all of my shoes are size 14, just because the options aren't out there.
If you find the shoe and fit you like, and the only problem is the color, consider yourself blessed, and use it as an opportunity to buy some new matching Saucony gear!

Because in the new Hurricane 14 we added a new technology called Sauc fit. We found that it not only hugged the foot better it also allows the shoe to move with the foot through the gait cycle. It acts like a hinge, flexing with the foot so it reduces the rubbing in your heel and is more comfortable.

Question

What is the difference/advantage of the Hurricane 14 versus the Guide 5?

I've been running in Hurricane's for the last several years and love them but want to understand the difference between the Hurricane and Guide shoes. I like the idea that the Guide is lighter. I am a mild pronator so both shoes would probably work great for that. Thanks!

There are a couple differences between the Guide 5 and Hurricane 14. The Hurricane is more cushioned than the Guide. It has a full midsole of our new cushioning mechanism called PowerGrid. It also has our Sauc fit technology on the medial side that helps hug the foot and flex with the foot through the gait cycle. The Hurricane also has a little bit more stability. Lastly the Hurricane is $140 where the Guide is $110. The Guide 5 is going to have a more responsive feel with the full length drop in ProGrid piece and be a little bit lighter. It is .7 oz lighter than the Hurricane. They are both great shoes and I would recommend either one of them.
